The Other Side of the Wardrobe

I stepped through the wardrobe and was quite surprised with what I saw. Instead of coats and clothes, I found a long walkway. I started down it, and when i got to the end I found myself standing in the middle of a round green platform of grass. Far off I could see an island. On the island I could see a tall, white, glowing tower. By the look of it, it was about ten miles away. But I knew exactly where I was. I was home.
Let me see if I can explain, first off I live on earth… but I am not from earth. I am from a far off planet that isn’t even in earth’s solar system, although it is still in earth’s galaxy. This planet is called Ehatr. It is the planet of the dragons(keep in mind that dragons speak telepathically). See, dragons can change forms. So, lets just say that they are like shape shifters. Anyway, back to the point, centuries ago some select dragons (me being one of them) flew to earth in search of light because there is no light on Ehatr. But when they got there they found dinosaurs. Because dinosaurs got in their way they just decided to kill them off. Then cave man came along and the dragons decided to take up a more civilized form of caveman. Then, sadly but truly, they killed them off too. Now you know how dinosaurs and caveman went extinct. Now you also know where I am
Next thing I knew, the little platform jolted forward and I passed out.
I woke to find myself surrounded by dragons.
“The wind arises”
said a tall red dragon that looked almost as though he was made of some form of solidified fire(this dragons name was Erif).
“where have you been all these years Dniw?” (dew).
Emit asked in a worried tone.
I was shocked when I found that I had wings and claws.
“Who are you, what happened to me, where am I?”
I screamed panicking.
“Sir you can’t be serious are you?”
“Oh right, I almost forgot, I’m back home, aren’t I”
“Yes, I do believe you are sir.”
See before I continue any further let me name you all the names of the main dragons. There is Dniw, Erif, Emit, Nogard, Kcor, Eci(ek-ee), Retaw(re-toe), and then there’s the leader of the pack. His name is Ecaps. Then there is also the enemy, Nosiop(no-soy-p). Here is a match up of their names with their powers. Dniw/wind, Erif/fire, Emit/time, Nogard/the dragon of all non-powerful dragons, Kcor/rock, Eci/ice, Retaw/water, Ecaps/all space in this universe, and Nosiop/poison. Now back to the point.
“Now that I’m back home I guess I should get to know the place better, but not until I get some rest.”
I awoke the next morning to find myself inside a big underground cave. The other dragons were still sleeping around me. But there was a problem. I sensed something was terribly wrong. I tried not to awake the other dragons but as soon as I told myself there was trouble, all the other dragons immediately snapped awake. Emit asked
“What is it Dniw? What is the-.”Then she stopped dead and said in a whisper
“Nosiop. It’s Nosiop. He’s here.”
She said it so quietly that we almost couldn’t hear her
“I sense it too. He’s close.”
Erif replied
“Well... Don’t just stand there, do something!!”
I yelled
“Dniw is right. After him.”
Nogard replied.
We all surfaced to Find Nosiop circling the entrance in the air about a mile above. Everyone froze except for me. I bolted straight for him, and he bolted straight for me. Right before we collided I suddenly vaporized. I then realized that I meant to do that. It was instinctive.Then I re-solidified myself and attacked him from behind, piercing his side with a claw. He screamed in pain and pleaded
“Don’t hurt me please. You can’t, you must not kill me. I am one of you.”
“You will never be one of us!”
I yelled back as I sent him hurtling towards the ground below. Then I shouted,
“Eci, quick freeze him. But wait until he is close enough to the ground that when you do, the ice around him won’t shatter.”
“Don’t worry I already planned on it.”
She yelled in reply. But before he hit the ground he straightened out and flew away.
“Quick he’s getting away!”
But before we could do anything he vanished.
“Great, there he goes again.”
I screamed with rage
“I should have Known he was going to do that!”
“Don’t worry Dniw. You wounded him, He can’t have gone far.”
Emit said in a calming voice
“Yes I know, But that is not good enough. I could have done better.”
Then Erif said,
“Emit is right, You wounded him. He Can’t have gone far. Lets start in the direction that he headed in.”
“Good idea”
I replied, calming down a little
We all went the direction that he was going when he vanished. It didn’t take us long to catch up with him though. We found him collapsed on a rock trying to catch his breath. When he saw us he tried to get up and fly away, but it was no use. He got up, took to steps, then slumped right back down where he was standing.
“Please leave me alone, let me live.”
“Why should I? You have betrayed us. You tricked me and several other dragons into going to Earth. You told us that there would be a peaceful world, that there was no war, no anger. You betrayed us. Give me one good reason why I should not kill you and I may just spare your life.”
I said with fire in my eyes and very definite anger in my voice.
“First of all, I am in pain. Second of all, I did not always use to be your enemy. Thirdly, I meant what I said when I sent you there. I was told specifically that there was no war or anger on earth, and at the time there wasn’t. Dinosaurs weren't stupid enough to get mad at each other, and caveman weren’t intelligent enough to start a war. So you see, I did not lie to you. You lied to yourselves. But yes I am still your enemy, and I would like to keep it that way.”
“He has a point”
said a deep, male voice from behind us. We all spun around to see a startlingly powerful looking dragon. This dragon we all suddenly realized was the father and king of every single dragon that ever lived or died. His dragon name... is Levo. He is the dragon of love, hatred, life, and death.
“He didn’t lie to you. You lied to yourselves. You were the creators of man. It was a peaceful planet at the time. But you and the other dragons destroyed that. You destroyed the true beauty of that planet.”
He said staring at me, no through me in fact. Yes that’s it, He stared through me.
“And why, my son did you do a stupid thing like that? Ha what are you going to do now, are you going to go and kill them off to?”
He sat there staring at me obviously waiting for an answer.
“Sir to be honest with you I have no intentions in killing the human race, for I have grown quite fond of them!”
I yelled in reply
“And I bet you that if you spent 253,729,562 years with dinosaurs or caveman that you would have grown equally as fond of them as you are of humans. Don’t you think?”
He replied in a loud but calm voice.
“Well, I suppose your right. I did have quite a bit of time to grow fond of the humans. But still sir, humans have some form of intelligence. I don’t think-”
“Yes but they were only intelligent because they were produced from dragons. If you had taken the form of a dinosaur then they would have become more intelligent, same with caveman. Do you get my point?”
“Yes sir, I suppose you are correct in some ways. but you are still incorrect in others. See us killing off dinosaurs and caveman gave Earth time to change and be changed, In ways both good and bad. So there were some benefits.”
“I see. Well Have it your way then. Let them live and destroy that beautiful planet more and more.”
Then he dissipated into thin air.
“He is right Dniw, the longer we leave them there the more they’ll destroy that planet.”
Retaw told me. I then replied,
“You don’t get it though, if we kill them off then earth will rot and die.We can’t just take them off that planet because it has become dependent on some things that only people can provide. It would die without them like they would die without food, water, and air.”
“I see what you’re saying Dniw but if we are going to let them stay there then we can’t let them continue to treat the planet the way they are.”
Emit said.
“I understand and I plan to fix the problem.”
I started my journey the next day. I was to fly to Earth and consult with the humans. But I would take the form of a different human in every country. So as to not gather to much attention, and speak with that countries president to see what I could do to fix the problem. When I got there though I told myself that I would tell The President of the United States not to start the project until a young boy by the name of Tristynn Scott Morris came back from missing with $20,000,000 in gold that he found in an old abandon castle. I did this and I also handed him a package with a letter in it for each country and to send the letters to the proper country when this boy got back. Then I went to speak with the other countries.
First I went to Canada in search of an agreement with Earth’s problem. He agreed immediately and said he would wait until he got the letter. Then I was off to Greenland, then Iceland, then Belgium, Ireland, France, and so forth finding the same result until I got all the way around and reached Mexico. That’s were I ran into trouble. The president of Mexico disagreed and told me that he liked his planet the way it was and that he wouldn’t make the change, But because I had already found an agreement with all the other countries, I decided to let them take care of the rest. That’s when I left.
I flew back home and was glad when I got back. It was night (as usual) and everyone was asleep so I went to the cave to rest.
“Did it work?”
Ecaps asked from behind me.
“For the most part.”
I answered.
“What country didn’t agree?”
He asked.
“Mexico”
I replied. Then he said,
“Well, we best get some sleep.”
“Yep”
I said in a yawn.
I awoke the next morning to the sound of footsteps scurrying on the ground below me(I was sleeping on a shelf in the top of the cave). I knew that it couldn’t have been any of my comrades, because the creature would have been too small to have been even the smallest of us. It must have been one of the non-powerful dragons. I slowly stood up and looked down to see something horridly dreadful. It was one of the dragons worst fears. It... was a shadow. You see though, shadows on Ehatr aren’t like the shadows on Earth. Because there is no light on Ehatr dragons don’t have shadows. So when a dragon says shadow, they mean creature of darkness. Ehatr shadows are pretty much nothing but living pieces of dark matter. Dragons have a good reason for being scared of shadows because when a shadow from Ehatr gets anywhere near you, you just simply... disappear. I immediately awoke the other dragons. They too, like I did, slowly stood up and turned toward the hideous creature. I vaporized, Emit vanished, Erif burst into flame, Ecaps exploded, Kcor disintegrated into a cloud of sand, Eci bust into a cloud of snowflakes, and Retaw turned into a small river of water, and Nogard vanished. We all met back outside. But it was even worse outside. When we got outside we found the entire surface covered with them.
"Now what do we do?"
I asked impatiently.
"That would be a good question if any of us could answer it."
Emit answered.
"They aren't covering the watered part of the planet, maybe we could find an under water cave and stay there."
Nogard suggested.
"Not a bad idea."
I replied.
"So what are we waiting for?"
I asked. We went straight towards the nearest ocean. When we got to it and were submerged we headed straight down. We eventually found a cave. When we swam deeper into the cave we found that it forked off in two directions. We split up to see what we could find. When I got to the end of my tunnel I reported,
"Nothing here."
"We just reached the end of our tunnel. It forks upward and forms an air-pocket. Do you think we should stay there?"
"I think that would be a good idea. I will meet you there."
When I got there I found my comrades waiting for me still in the water.
“We were waiting for you, we still haven’t entered the air-pocket. Let’s go take a look.”
Erif said.
“Good idea, let’s go.”
I agreed. We went up to take a look and found that it was a small cave with a floor of rock,we couldn’t see the back of the cave. But there were also a bunch of little tunnels heading off in different directions. We walked up onto the surface to rest, but when we got a little ways into the cave, past all the little tunnels there was a slight problem. Out of each little tunnel came a shadow. We all immediately took flight. When we got a ways into the tunnel we entered a huge room that had a bunch of bigger tunnels leading off in many directions. We were all thinking the same thing. We all headed down our own tunnel. But when I got inside mine, I flew through the cave to find myself shrinking in size and landing in my room in the castle. But still a dragon.
“Well that works out perfectly now doesn’t it?”
I replied to myself.
